The year is 1997. The Fall editions of your favorite magazines just arrived in the mailbox. You brew up a cup of tea and settle to flip through the glossy pages of the interior design editorials. There are drapes that match the wallpaper, textile in ornate patterns, sofas with skirts, glitzy lighting. It’s almost a bit much, yet just enough. In recent years, we’ve seen (and designed) so many minimalist spaces—which we will always love. But this Fall, we wanted to pay homage to vintage maximalism and more specifically, decorating. Decorating evokes the fun in design, the less serious side, encouraging us to play, layer, and embellish. We hope the pages here inspire you to create a space all your own, filled with pieces you love.
