Our new French Art Deco collection combines the bold, graphic style of Art Deco with a romantic, timeless French influence. Inspired by the decorating trend which rose to fame nearly 100 years ago, we thought we could provide a fresh, new spin on the historical style for its centennial anniversary. Shot in a classically detailed architectural space, we paired streamlined, modern pieces with sculptural, statement-making decor for a one-of-a-kind look. Today, we’re taking a deeper dive into some of our favorite looks from the campaign. Let’s dig in.
We kept the color palette simple, allowing the pieces themselves to make a statement. Our Senna Rug steals the show with its bold, geometric pattern and handwoven details. We layered a coffee table and side table to provide an added dimension and scale to the room-not to mention added surface space. Lighting is key in this look and a sculptural wall sconce adds just the right amount of character to space. Though this look is quite minimalist, layered accessories in the same tonal range give texture and visual interest to the built-in bookshelves and mantle.
A soft rug underfoot in a bedroom is essential, and our Braeburn rug is no exception. Made entirely by hand, the graphic pattern is a high-low combination of cream and varied-gray wool. The abstract, linear pattern is echoed in both the channel-tufted bed and subtle curves of the wall art. We kept the bedding clean and simple in keeping with the Art Deco style, with soft linen sheets and a pop of color and texture in the mohair throw.
All pieces from the French Art Deco collection are meant to be statement-makers, either on their own or combined together in a space. Our Belmont sofa features a rounded back and rich velvet fabric-we paired it here with an extra-long lumbar pillow for a fresh look. The textured, cozy Renzo chair is just as comfortable as it is eye-catching, featuring soft curves in a shearling inspired fabric. An ultra-low coffee table and sculptural wooden accent chair round out the look.
