Design Services
Virtual Design Associate
Remote
Lulu and Georgia is looking for a diligent, accountable and attentive Virtual Design Associate to create inspiring spaces and establish customer relationships as it relates to selling home furnishings for our new Design Services team. You will work in a dynamic and newly launched team where multi-tasking and problem-solving are key. You will be accountable for individual performance objectives including providing thoughtfully designed spaces, proactive selling, support of existing clients and developing new business. This position requires knowledge of interior design, customer service and sales. In this role, you’ll report to our Senior Manager, Design Services and work closely with the Customer Service team. This is a great role for someone who has a passion for designing beautiful spaces and fostering relationships with customers to support them in confidently making purchasing decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Achieves Weekly, Monthly and Annual Sales goals
- Ability to simplify the design process and confidently create elegant and sophisticated spaces
- Ensures that all current and potential customers experience the company’s best practices and excellent customer service
- Collaborates with management to build and cultivate relationships with all potential customers to drive growth and support the design aesthetic of Lulu and Georgia
- Properly process and complete sales order paperwork and all supporting documentation
- Utilize CRM platform to track progress, engage leads, and win deals
- Tracks orders to ensure that product arrives on schedule, provides all required pre and post-sale follow through by phone and email
- Overcomes obstacles and problem solves to build long-term customer relationships
- Creates a positive work environment, embracing / supporting directives from management
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of successful design and sales experience
- Problem-solving skills, confidence, persistence, optimism and self-motivation
- Experience with CRM-driven sales (preferably in Salesforce) preferred
- Experience with interior design platforms (e.g., Design Files, Sketch Up, Adobe Express, and Canva) preferred
- Ability to understand and build on the brand aesthetic
- Organized and detail oriented with passion for interior design, furniture industry trends and business development
- Ability to analyze, forecast and strategize
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively

Trade
Trade Internship

Lulu and Georgia is seeking a part-time intern to support our growing Trade Team. This position will deliver hands-on experience working as part of a successful Trade Sales program, supporting internal and external relationships and assisting the team with reviewing and processing Trade member applications. Over the course of the internship, the candidate will also work as a team on a special project that they will present to leadership at the end of the program. The ideal candidate will have customer service experience, a passion for home decor and interior design, and excellent communication skills.
This is a part-time (up to 20 hrs per week), 3 month internship opportunity that reports to our Manager - Trade Sales, and can be based in Los Angeles or remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Review trade program applications and register approved members
- Conduct appropriate follow-up emails with pending applicants to ensure applicant eligibility
- Issue tax exemption requests when necessary
- Support sales prospecting pipeline by identifying new leads
- Contribute to sales process ideation and execution
Requirements:
- Detail oriented and driven by deadlines and high sense of urgency

Assistant Buyer, Lighting and Furniture

Lulu and Georgia is looking for an Assistant Buyer to join our growing Lighting and Furniture team. The Assistant Buyer, Lighting and Furniture is responsible, in partnership with the Buyer, for developing and driving business strategies that meet or exceed the department’s financial and brand equity goals. The Assistant Buyer, Lighting and Furniture will provide information and ideas to develop assortments, key items, promotional strategies and growth opportunities. The Assistant Buyer, Lighting and Furniture communicates with vendors and agents and serves as the key department contact. This role will help join in the company mission to create a brave and inclusive community where diversity and inclusivity are woven into the fabric of the organization, both internally and externally. Responsibilities:
- Helps build seasonal assortment plans and manages updates throughout the season
- Provides cross-functional partners with final assortment plans (line lists), product details, target retails, estimated IMU, importance to overall assortment (big bets) and provides updates to cross-functional documents
- Owns SKU item set-up from Netsuite to Shopify in partnership with Merchandise department
- Owns item maintenance such as SKU changes, description updates, pricing updates etc
- Assists with managing vendor relationships and communication
- Execute vendor discounts for promotions
- Coordinate with vendor compliance and operations teams to ensure EDI orders transmit correctly
- Liaison between cross-functional departments as it relates to product inquiries across all communication platforms (Slack, Email, G-suite). Resolves and escalates difficult issues to the Buyer
- Gains an understanding of forecasting and participates in financial review meetings
- Provides a weekly recap on sales & margin performance and participates in weekly business meetings and quarterly hindsight meetings
- Performs market analysis, competitive shops, Identifies emerging trends and develops business strategies outlining strengths, weaknesses, new opportunities, and threats. Communicates annual and seasonal strategies to cross functional areas
- Participates in the process of seasonal launches, including product information, web & catalog proofing, merchandising line lists, and other collateral
- Offers input on the product assortment strategy and participates in weekly product development meetings.
- Owns sample management - place photoshoot orders and provide tracking to creative; follow all the way through to proactively ensure the items arrive for the shoot
- Owns swatch management for applicable areas
- Enters and tracks purchases orders for all domestic product and swatch orders, ensuring on time vendor shipping communicating any delays to cross-functional teams
Requirements:
- 1-year experience in merchandising/buying or relevant work experience
- Some experience working with both domestic and/or offshore suppliers and sources
- Strong organizational and prioritizing abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills including influencing and negotiation skills
- High degree of flexibility and initiative
- Must be a self-starter, collaborative, and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with MS Office and Google Suite (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
- Required to create pivot tables and experience with advanced formulas such as VLOOKUPS
- Intermediate retail math knowledge with a strong financial acumen

Senior Accountant

Lulu and Georgia is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team. This person will oversee timely financial closing activities, reconciliations, and manage Accounts Payable processes. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail and solutions oriented and organized with the ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines. This role will report directly to the VP Controller.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure execution of monthly, quarterly, and year-end close under the company’s timeline
- Perform month-end reconciliation of designated balance sheet accounts
- Assist with Sales Tax reconciliation and reporting
- Assist with payroll entries and reconciliation
- Assist with order to cash daily deposits
- Assist with month end accruals
- Owner of reimbursement and credit card reconciliation
- Manage goods received not billed analysis and resolution with outstanding bills and POs
- Manage new vendor set up using information provided by vendor
- Be the owner of MineralTree to ensure all invoices/payments sync
- Reconcile Accounts Receivable to ensure activity is accurately reflected in the financials
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiencies
- Prepare the annual 1099MISC and 1099NEC filing
- Serve as liaison to external auditors
- Perform other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 3-5 years’ experience in an accounting role
- CPA is a plus
- Experience using NetSuite, MineralTree, Shopify, and/or eCommerce industry experience is a plus
- Accounting system implementation experience a plus
- High ethical standards, strong work ethic with an emphasis on team commitment, respect for others, the ability to acknowledge and build on others’ ideas, and support for group decisions
- Must have the ability to solve problems with patience and a positive approach
